Custom API endpoints
Not everything should be backed by a table. Make it possible to host cool things like a stringreverser.
Custom API scripts are now available in Mobile Services. Not only can you run scripts that aren’t tied to a table operation, but you can also do new things like sending XML.
Just noticed that this feature is now available! Look under API tab in the portal!! :)
Custom params are now supported on all platforms https://github.com/WindowsAzure/azure-mobile-services/pull/70
Yep, so that one can pass in a bunch of params and get json back. I don't care if it is even based on a table, but definitely need an ability to easily send params to the server. I know there is a request.parameters collection when dealing with server side scripts, but there is no easy way to populate it in Android client.

I'd actually really like something like this. For instance, I think it'd be really cool to host a Socket.IO endpoint on an Azure Mobile Service endpoint, so I could build a chat service into an app. As it stands, I would have to role my own Azure Website or Compute instance to make this work. It would be nice to simply integrate it all.
